I’m Olivia, creator of Yorkshire-based company, Portrait in Print. I make thought-provoking gifts inspired by great literary icons.
I have always been a keen reader. From an early age, I loved escaping to a world of imagination with L.M. Montgomery’s ‘Anne of Green Gables’, or being swept away by the drama and romance of Charlotte Bronte’s ‘Jane Eyre’. At university I studied modern languages and learnt about the power of words in other cultures and contexts.
My lifelong fascination with language, and my continuing love for the classics, has inspired me to create a new range of literary gifts.
I use typographical art to tell the stories, to paint the portraits, of some of my favourite literary icons.
Using only fifteen short lines, weaving together elements of their life and work, I try to capture a sense of what these remarkable people mean to us today, in original designs that are both beautiful and thought-provoking.
I hope my artwork encourages you to take a moment to revisit great books and great ideas.
All my gifts are meticulously crafted in the UK, using environmentally friendly methods, and are printed on the finest papers and materials. My packaging is made from recycled materials where possible, and is all recyclable.
